Elephants at sunset at the Chobe river DSC_3767

There are fantastic sunsets to be had up in Botswana. On the country’s northern border with Namibia on the other side of the Chobe river, one can always manoeuvre yourself to get a few large animals into the sunset shot.

In this photo, I had a few elephants in the foreground kicking up dust making for an interesting shot with the sunset behind them.

Encapsulating the essence of Africa, a cruise down Botswana’s Chobe River at sunset offers wonderful African wildlife sightings in an incredibly romantic setting.

Just sit back and watch the sky and water magically change colour as the sun set.

I took this photo while on my first Botswana Delta photo safari trip. April 2019
