After spending five days in Paris during the peck of the heat wave (45 deg C) that swept through most of France, I arrived in the south for the next four weeks. My second home town Manosque is a town situated just 50 kms north of Aix en Provence.
I used to live here for almost 25 years so know my way around and it was easy to find the good spots on the plateau of Valensole (capital for lavender fields), In fact we had a house on the out skirts of the village. I shot some amazing shots in the lavender fields during one sunset. You cannot believe how many photographers there are up there every day during the summer time.
Its always nice to be able to spend quality time with good friends as I am doing. We managed to get in a few rounds of golf with at Gap Bayard GC and Golf de Luberon (Thanks Philippe for the complementary.)
I’m gearing up for the next exciting part of my 2019 French trip. The Camargue horses and the Tour de France cycle race. There is the annual photographic expo at Arles as well so all in all it should be a good week coming.
